Consequent meeting of the Stakeholders' Committee was held on March 20, 2008. Representatives of NGO sector and journalists took part at this meeting.
Program progress as well as on the activities implemented by the Governing Council during the period between the Stakeholders’ Committee last session until today. The possible cases of conflict of interest and the mechanisms to avoid such cases were discussed: the amendments on defining potential conflicts of interest between the Stakeholders’ Committee and Governing Council members and the MCA-Armenia Program found to be among the priorities of the Stakeholders’ Committee activities.
As the representatives of the Program stakeholders, the Stakeholders’ Committee members expressed their concern and compassion on the Program continuity in the light of the letter of MCC Chief Executive Officer John Danilovich to President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. It was decided to appear with a message to the MCC and Armenian Government expressing the SC position on the current situation.
The Quarterly Progress Reports of the MCA-Armenia as well as that of the "Water to Market" Project Implementing Organization ACDI/VOCA were presented to the SC members. Discussions on the activities being implemented in the framework of the Water-to-Market Project were held.
